walls.

I thought it would be appropriate to past my wall up on here, as i spend quite a lot of time staring into it thinking about new ideas and my general thoughts. Well  I like it anyway!

Sell Sell Sell!

Bringing the old back into the year of 2011. I am using my old photos from New York to turn into more prints to sell via We are Birmingham and Folksy.

Hot off the press.

So i thought it was about time to create some prints and get my work out there. 'We are Birmingham' are going to sell my prints in there shop which i feel is an achievement, almost the first milestone...many more to come i'm sure. This print is titled 'A touch of cherry blossom' and it was inspired by a elective i took on Japanese art and culture. 

'Lush'

Originally i only did this print so i could use it behind 'A touch of cherry blossom', however i love the way it turned out and the colour is beautiful. I like the more random feel to this print, which is unlike most my work, its less precise. Put Bon Iver into the room and i instantly feel inspired.

Silks and Screens.

We had a 'Anti Charity' Brief. Simple enough, just to create a poster about anti charity. I want to use silk screening within my work where ever possible and thought this would be the perfect opportunity. This was my 'spiv'. I wanted to do a very messy image, and i like the extra ink off the page. These arn't the edited ones.  But im happy.

Triangles and Lines.

I designed this for website called 'Luxe Life'. They wanted a clean cut, simple and sophisticated logo. Logo design is something that interests me, however I don’t think I could go solely into corporate branding or logos etc... However i am quite happy with how this logo turned out.

Rams Skull.

Just playing around with some different images i have done, to redesign the Yeah yeah yeah's album cover. The back was a silk screen image then i used the ram's head which i drew. 

Im thinking about going into publishing (book covers, magazine covers)  although mixed with band promotion (cd covers, posters).

"SHOCKISM"

We had a one day brief at uni to come up with a word which best describes the 21st century.  My 'ism' was 'SHOCKISM' referring to the shock tactics used these days by the media. I used a simple lino print, that i feel its quite effective.
